Gitmo suicides
On the suicide deaths of three people incarcerated at the U.S. prison in the Guantanomo Bay military base:
"Prison camp commander Navy Rear Adm. Harry Harris called the suicides acts of "asymmetrical warfare" and said they were linked to a "mystical" belief at the camp that it would take the deaths of three detainees for the rest to go free."
Nice to see we're giving our rear admirals training in asymmetrical warfare and its linkage to mystical belief systems. Of course, some would say an evangelical christian driven unilateral attack on another country based on oil addiction and paranoid conjecture could qualify as asymmetrical warfare linked to mystical beliefs, too. Of course, not all lines of thinking are popular or consistent with prevailing fantasies.
