Course OverviewThis online course, provided as a service of unrelated.net, is designed to teach the basics of web page development. This course provides an introduction to fundamental concepts and techniques required to design and develop effective websites. Topics include: basic principles of site architecture and navigation; and markup language code for text, images, links, tables, frames, and other commonly used basic tags. To succeed in this course, you should first be familiar with the internet and commonly-used computer applications software.

What You NeedYou can learn HTML with a pencil and paper, but to use it, you will need a computer. To put your HTML on a website, you'll need to be able to access the internet and you'll need a place where you can put your web pages. This is discussed in Lesson 1, About Websites.
