If you've gotten this far and have been able to follow the thread, you've probably figured out that I'm something of a loose cannon, and that I don't react well if I think I'm being pushed around. I'm no big fan of intransigence, either.

That said, I am well aware that I am just as full of myself as my antagonists are of themselves. I have nothing left now but sympathy for my neighbors. As some great thinker once said, we're all fighting our own battles.

Lessons learned or to be learned (by me and/or others):

1. Don't be too surprised if some people react strangely to having their photos taken.

2. Be careful with your emails. Make sure you examine your premises, validate your assumptions, and consider your words carefully.
