Joust

The joust.

Meeting our champions.

The royal viewing box.

The champion chooses a maiden for whom he will fight.

The champions issue challenges and begin the games.

First they spear rings.

Then they toss spears at targets.

Finally, they dress for battle.

And the spectators watch nervously.

Ready to go.

They crash together once, twice, three times!

At the third pass, our champion is unhorsed and lands with a heavy crash.

He's helped to his feet to stagger off.
