The Scene: The corner of Kenwood and Montgomery for the World Can't Wait October 5, 2006 national protest.

When I arrived at 4:30 there were already lots of people on the corner by the mall.

I think the fellow with the prominent posterior is a security guard telling the protestors they could not
drape their flag on the wall or lean on the wall in case they might damage the wall.

Everyone stayed.

Across the street at the Sycamore Plaza, there were two security guards telling people that if they
parked in the lot there, they would be ticketed and towed. What maroons!

They took the job seriously, and stayed out there for hours chasing away four or five drivers.

Here's their second score.

You can tell it wasn't about parking. It was a political statement by the management maroons.

Fancy ride for going nowhere. Rollerskates would have been more appropriate.

Across the street, lots of support being generated.

Oh yeah. Looks like Sycamore Plaza is doing real well, too.

Melissa, front and center, our bold and brave organizer.

Pity, isn't it.

Liar, liar, pants on fire.

Very enthusiastic group!

Getting a message across.

This maroon called the protestors traitors, then took offense when I called him an idiot.
(Between the moustache, the poor haircut, and the goofy jacket, I wouldn't know where to start.)

Still at it.

That would be disallowed parking person number 4. She said she just stopped to look.

That maroon in the red jacket defended the use of torture. How lost is that?

A friendly commercial sign holder took my photo, too.

Gotta love this one.

Notice:
Today's sign event page is dedicated to the all the people who choose to speak out against the Iraq war.

More fun later,

Ray
