The Scene: The corner of Montgomery and Galbraith/Kugler Mill for a heimlich fundraiser at the home of frances and craig lindner, 7725 Buckingham Rd., 45243, from 5:00 - 7:30 p., featuring MA gov mitt romney; cost? if you are just a bud - $1000, or special bud - $2000.

This has always been one of my favorite corners in Cincinnati. Out there with the sign, you get tons of appreciation and support, and you get plenty of vile remarks, finger salutes, and sputtering ingnorance. My special favorites are the youth of Maderia and Indian Hill. This evening I had one carload of pimply boys tell me the love George Bush and hope that they get to go somewhere and kill lots of people, too. The driver said his brother is a Marine in Iraq and he's lovin' every minute of it and can't get enough of killing people.

I got to see lots of swells heading to the party. It was a tough trip for most of them because ODOT was doing roadwork at rush hour just a few blocks down Kugler Mill and it had things backed up bigtime the whole time I was there.

There was no end to the positive feedback all evening. At one point a little after 7 a guy pulled up in a car with a Strikland sticker. The guy came over and thanked me for what I was doing and said I was doing a great job. To be honest, I think I am getting better at it. I wave a lot more now and only rarely yell back at the jackasses who yell at me. Anyway, I asked that fellow to take a picture, which he did.

Notice:
Today's sign event page is dedicated to the many politically active people against the war.

More fun later,

Ray
