The Scene: A balmy sunny summer afternoon in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio, beginning at the Queen City Club 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm fundraiser (Jean Schmidt looking for money with speaker John Boehner), and then moving to the baseball game to welcome the usual throngs.

I was pleased to find supporters of the schmidster opponent, Dr. Victoria Wulsin (http://www.wulsinforcongress.com/index.asp) present and holding the attendees to account.

The sign was welcome.

The young fellow in the foreground claimed to be a neocon, but he'd never heard of Kevin Phillips. What a maroon!

Seemed like a pretty poor (in numbers, if not dollars) turnout, so after a while I went to the ballpark.

A very friendly cop tried to talk sense to me about telling people who gave me a hard time about the sign that they were idiots or to lose weight. I told him I appreciated the advice.
