The Scene: Lakeside Lodge in Sharon Woods for the Sharonville republican club steak cookout and auction.

This little hide-away was a long walk from anywhere you could walk from.

Lucky for me there was parking right across the road at the ballpark.

Even luckier there was such a useful sign right there, too.

I arrived about 5:45, and the cookouters were slow to arrive. Around 6:15 there weren't many yet, and I went back into the car and waited out a thunderstorm and downpour.

I got a few negative responses, but I got a couple of very strong supportive responses, too, along with some friendly beeps and waves.

By 6:45 it was apparent they weren't going to have a very good turnout, and I had other things to do, so I got ready to leave.

The sign held up really well, despite the weather, and most of the cookout attendees got to see it.

Notice:
Today's sign event page is dedicated to Mayor's Courts everywhere. May they always strive to be good.

More fun later,

Ray
