The Scene: BCYRCHH (Blue Chip Young Republican Club Happy Hour) McFadden's, 19 East Seventh Street, downtown.

I've been here a couple of times before. The first time I even got roughed up and the sign was damaged. This time a tall thin fellow wearing glasses came out and said it was his club, and that he "was with me" but couldn't I please move down to the corner one way or the other because I was offending his customers.

I told him I was within my rights to stand exactly where I was and that I was there because his restaurant was hosting a republican affair. I said he should tell his customers to look away if they were offended by my presence.

The "owner" went back inside and then came back out and tried to chase me away, but I ignored him. He soon left me alone, but tossed a few insults over his shoulder as he went back inside.

There was plenty of support and non support, as usual.
