Monday, May 15, 2006, Return to B and N

A fine day to protest the ongoing disaster in Iraq, as a republican apologist signs his latest lackluster lines inside a local chain bookstore.

A freindly passer-by took a picture for me. Later, I took one of my own.

There were, as usual, many positive responses: waves, peace signs, raised fists, beeps, and so on. The were, also as usual, not so many negative reponses: shaking heads, flipped birds, and a few clichés ("why don't you go to f**king Iraq and see some real torture" and "you're an a**hole" and "four more years" are a few I recall). This time I was the perfect total non-reactor. I did acknowledge the messages, both positive and negative, but I said nothing and gave none of the negative stuff a second thought. Much as enjoy responding, I must say I also enjoy letting crudeness fall flat.

Notice:
Today's sign event is dedicated to good friend Steve, who has 20 years in at work this week.

More fun later,

Ray
